The paper describes arthropods using fruits at two localities in the Mezquital Valley. Sampling 60 plants yielded 560 adults belonging to 93 morphospecies. Fruits provided feeding sites, shelter, mating places and opportunities to capture prey. Assemblage composition differed between sites, while the relationship between diversity and proximity to buildings varied between the two localities.
