The original description of Pachycereus tepamo documents plant structure, flowers, fruits, seeds and localities in the lower Balsas basin. Comparisons with P. grandis, P. pecten-aboriginum and P. weberi consider stem zones, spines and floral covering. The material includes diagnostic drawings and a morphological comparison.
